What should we do when we arrive.

All guests and visitors must check in at the office by the pool. All guests must agree to sign a copy of our terms and conditions.

-Guest fees: If you’re visiting someone at the campground, there is a fee of $10.00 a day per adult and $5.00 a day per child. Visitors must leave by 10:00pm. Overnight guests fees are $15.00 per adult per day and $10.00 per child per day.

 

Can we have a campfire?

Of course. Campfires are the heart of camping and provides a wonderful opportunity to gather, share stories and make memories. We do require that they remain in the fire ring. PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR OWN FIREWOOD! We will confiscate it.

All fires must be attended!

 

Do you offer discounts?

Are you an active or retired service man or woman?

- To thank you for your service, we offer a 10% military discount off a 2 night or more stay.

* A valid military ID must be presented at check in for your discount.


What is the campground located near?

We are located just off the Garden State Parkway at Exit 13. Continue to the end of Avalon Blvd to Rt. 9. Make a right at the light on Rt. 9, then make the first left, just after Martindale’s Auto Body and before Cape Bank. Our address is 18 West Beaver Dam Road, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210 (sometimes your GPS may direct you to another Beaver Dam Road in the same town). You can also use the following address: 4 Pebble Brook Lane, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. It will take you right to the campground entrance as well.


How old must I be to make a reservation at the campground?


You must be 25 and older, NO EXCEPTIONS!

How far are you from the beach?

 We are located just 3 miles from the beautiful Avalon Beach, which requires beach tags. They are available for purchase at the beach for the day, week or season. Ponderosa Campground has a limited number of Avalon beach tags available to rent daily/weekly. Inquire about availability. Other local beaches include Sea Isle, Ocean City, Stone Harbor, Wildwood, and Cape May. Most beaches in the area require tags, however Wildwood Beach is always FREE and offers a dog-friendly beach, located between Glenwood and Maple Avenues (open dawn to dusk)!


Are You Pet Friendly?


Yes, we love pets! We welcome pets in all our cabins and areas of the campground, except the pool area. We ask that you are polite to your neighbors, pick up after your pet, and keep your pet quiet and tame while staying with us. Fees apply. See Terms and Conditions


What time is check in/check out?


Check in is at 2:00 pm and Check out is by 11:00 am. No late check outs are permitted, NO EXCEPTIONS!


How many people can fit in a cabin?


Our cabin accommodations sleep 4 people comfortably. There is 1 full size bed and 1 twin size bunk bed, which sleeps 2. We allow no more than 6 people in a cabin, regardless of age. You may bring a blow-up mattress or sleeping bags for the floor area for additional sleeping.


Can a tent be put on a cabin site?


No camping tents are permitted at all in the entire campground.


How many cars can be at a site? 1 car is included with your reservation; additional cars are permitted for a fee. You can park up to 2 cars on a site; see the office for overflow parking. See Terms and Conditions.


Can I check in after office hours?


Yes, we have a late check-in box located outside of the campground office. Your reservation information will be located there. Please let us know if you are going to be a late check-in before the office closes, so we can arrange this for you. You must come to the office and complete your check-in the following morning by 11:00 am.


How big is the refrigerator in the cabin?


The refrigerator in the cabin is a small, college dorm-sized refrigerator, it does not have a freezer section. You may want to bring coolers for extra space.


Does the campground have Wi-Fi?


Yes, the campground does have Wi-Fi, and it is FREE! 


How big are the sites?


Each site varies in size. Our cabins are placed throughout the campground, which means you will have either other cabin rentals or seasonal campers as neighbors. There are not any private, secluded sites.


What time are "quiet hours"?


From 11:00pm to 8:00am, quiet hours are strictly enforced. Please respect your neighbors and have fun!


What are the pool hours?


The pool is open daily 9:00 am – 8:00 pm


What are the office hours?

The office is open 8:00 am – 8:00 pm daily
